Scope and Application
How this policy applies
This policy applies to information collected through the VIPS website, public lot parking workflows, private property parking workflows, resident and guest permit processes, customer support channels, and any related digital services offered under the VIPS brand.
Different parking properties, municipalities, operators, condominiums, landlords, enforcement teams, or service providers may impose additional terms, retention obligations, or local compliance standards. Where those additional rules apply, they operate together with this policy.
By using VIPS, creating an account, submitting a registration, or interacting with permit-related workflows, you acknowledge that your information may be processed as described in this policy for operational, contractual, legal, and security purposes.
Information We May Collect
Categories of information
We may also collect payment-adjacent information such as billing contact details, transaction summaries, selected payment method, wallet recharge records, confirmation numbers, and communication history required to support registration, reconciliation, and dispute review.
Where a property requires onboarding documentation or parking entitlement evidence, supporting documents and review notes may also be processed as part of the administrative workflow.
Use of Information
Operational purposes
- To validate property rules, duration limits, spot availability, and permit eligibility.
- To issue, manage, renew, extend, suspend, or expire visitor, resident, guest, and public lot permits.
- To deliver confirmations, OTPs, receipts, reminders, alerts, support responses, and enforcement review records.
- To maintain audit logs, resolve disputes, investigate suspicious activity, and demonstrate compliance with property rules.
Service Improvement
Administrative and analytical purposes
- To monitor service stability, form completion issues, payment workflow failures, and usability improvements.
- To understand property usage patterns, occupancy trends, wallet usage, and registration demand.
- To improve accessibility preferences, saved profile flows, zone lookup experiences, and permit confirmation tooling.
- To meet contractual, regulatory, insurance, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations that apply to parking administration.
Retention
How long data may be kept
Retention periods may vary based on the type of account, applicable property rules, ongoing disputes, audit requirements, financial reconciliation obligations, enforcement review needs, and contractual terms with the property or operator.
Permit records, session confirmations, payment-related summaries, and administrative logs may be retained for a period reasonably necessary to support compliance, reporting, support review, and legal defensibility.
Security
How information is protected
VIPS may use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. No online system can guarantee absolute security, and users remain responsible for protecting their own device access, login credentials, and account recovery channels.
Where suspicious activity is detected, access restrictions, log review, account verification, or operator escalation may be used to help protect the service.
User Rights and Requests
How to contact us about privacy questions
Users may contact VIPS through Contact Us to request correction of profile details, raise account concerns, or ask privacy-related questions. Some requests may need to be verified before action is taken, and some data may need to be retained where required for legal, security, financial, or operator-governed purposes.
Where local law provides additional privacy rights, those rights will be addressed subject to identity verification, applicable exceptions, and the operational responsibilities of the relevant property or operator.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service after a policy update indicates acceptance of the then-current policy for future use of the platform.
